Kuching, 8 December 2025 – PMG Healthcare and Timberland Medical Centre Kuching have established a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advancing a more integrated, accessible, and patient-centred healthcare ecosystem for communities in Sarawak.
The MoU was signed by Dr Chieng King Chong, Managing Director of PMG Healthcare, and Dr Kelvin Ch’ng Boon Hong, Chief Executive Officer of Timberland Medical Centre Kuching, with Ph Ling Hung Leong, Chief Pharmacist of PMG Healthcare, and Mr Tony Ngu, Senior Manager of Support Service at Timberland Medical Centre Kuching, serving as witness.
This partnership aims to build a seamless, integrated, and patient-centred referral ecosystem, widen access to quality medical and specialist services, enhance early detection through comprehensive screenings, and driven health awareness and community outreach.
By combining PMG’s extensive primary healthcare network with Timberland Medical Centre’s specialist capabilities, the partnership seeks to create a more seamless, coordinated, and patient-centred healthcare ecosystem that ensures every patient receives timely and appropriate care.
Dr Chieng King Chong, Managing Director of PMG Healthcare, highlighted that the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthen patient care through better integration and continuity across the healthcare journey.
“This collaboration ensures that no patient falls through the cracks. Every individual receives the right care, by the right expert, at the right time. This is what an effective healthcare ecosystem should look like connected, continuous, and centred around people,” Dr Chieng stated.
Dr Kelvin Ch’ng Boon Hong, Chief Executive Officer of Timberland Medical Centre Kuching, noted that the partnership represents a shared strategic alignment between both organisations with a shared vision for accessible, community-focused healthcare.
“This collaboration represents more than just an agreement between two organisations. It signifies a shared vision, one rooted in the belief that quality healthcare should be easily accessible and centred around the needs of the community,” Dr Kelvin said.
As part of the collaboration, PMG Healthcare and Timberland Medical Centre will establishes a seamless, integrated, and patient-centred referral ecosystem that bridges primary, secondary, and tertiary care. Through structed referral pathways and closer collaboration, patients will experience smoother transitions between care levels and receive timely and appropriate treatment throughout their healthcare journey.
In addition, the collaboration strengthens preventive healthcare through comprehensive health screenings and wellness programmes to enhance early disease detection. The two organisations also will collaborate on community outreach aimed at reinforcing a proactive approach to health management and strengthen community resilience.
This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone for integrated healthcare delivery in Sarawak.
